Mark Hall: RIP
The Glasgow Board gaming World was rocked last night by the tragic demise of well respected geek Mark Hall. Mark a Physician hailing from the west end of Glasgow, expired after a long struggle with Addiction, he went out as he would have wanted - Stinking of fireworks whilst clutching, in his coal stained hands, a worthless pile of Gitter.
Tributes came flooding in from fellow gamers.
Stephen Kelly: "Which one was Mark again?"
Julia Smith: "Mark? Yeah he was an even bigger c*nt that Naoki .... no hang on, that's Steven .... which one was Mark again?"
Andy Hynes: "Mark, yes he was a ...., wait a minute, you're asking me to comment third, third is the worst place to be when asked for comments, I've completely screwed this up, we need to start again"
Nick Pitman: " ......................." editors comment "we expect Nick to be a little while, he has a bad case of Obituary AP"
Mark joined the Primordial Group in a blaze a glory, he arrived brandishing both White Wine and Guinness, this bought him immediate approval with hosts, he quickly found his place as a mouthy yet limited gamer, the type of guy you want at the table but don't really need to keep an eye on. Mark became a regular fixture at Wednesday night sessions, part drunk, part cocky, mostly rubbish. When Mark wasn't falling apart in the last round of Steam, he could be found reclining over his own Kitchen table, enticing Comrade Kelly to take his Ass at Twilight, Stephen was always to willing to comply.
Marks propensity to peak to soon finally ended one famous night in May, when equipped only with a ordnance survey map of Yorkshire and a small supply of Cheese, he finally came out on top, claiming an historic victory at Wensleydale. This victory prompting a heart felt love letter to the games creator Martin Wallace.
Since then Mark has found his place as the groups Outside bet, he never failed to bring booze and he always succeeded in bringing more humour to the table, he will be sadly missed.
A memorial service is planned for Sunday.
